Simon

I am 26 years old and act’o-soft’s first trained dual student.
I wanted to use my A-levels to study – but I couldn’t really imagine studying full-time. I had known act’o-soft since the 9th grade, when I did a 2-week internship there.

Since I really liked it at act’o-soft during my internship and was initially undecided about which path to take after school, I simply took a look at the act’o-soft website and discovered the job advertisement for the dual study program. I was immediately attracted by the opportunity to put my desire to study into practice and start working straight away.

The dual model as a success factor

Simon has always done a super job as a business analyst. After the theory phase at the FHDW, he was able to quickly familiarize himself
he was always able to quickly familiarize himself with the projects and was a great support for the team.

After each theory phase, we noticed that he was particularly interested in the field of business informatics and that he could he was able to put his new knowledge to good use. Thanks to his ambition, his eye for detail, his independent independent way of working and his determination, Simon has always given 110 percent, both at the FHDW and at work.

Bachelor & Master in record time

At the end of September 2017, Simon was able to hold his diploma in his hands and celebrate his Bachelor of Science degree. Ambitious as he is, this was of course not enough for him. Simon had also decided to start a master’s degree in “IT Management and Information Systems” at the FHDW Bielefeld directly afterwards.

Simon successfully completed his degree in June 2020. act’o-soft had given him the time he needed during his part-time master’s studies to be able to combine professional responsibilities and studies and to graduate with top grades. The master’s program gave Simon additional foundations for his further professional development from business analyst to product owner.

From dual student to product owner
