TEDi GmbH & Co. KG is expanding its partnership with the IT company act'o-soft GmbH Informationssysteme.
The pos4brand checkout solution from act'o-soft will be used in the 1,909 German TEDi stores with around 3,000 checkouts. The software will be rolled out in a first pilot store at the end of July, followed by the remaining stores. “The rollout of pos4brand across the entire German store network should be completed before the end of this year,” reports Vadim Pustilnikov, Head of Stores and Central Data Systems at TEDi.
The fact that the pos4brand software complies with international standards and is intuitive and easy to use were already decisive reasons for using the POS solution in the TEDi stores in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, France and Belgium in the past.
“The retail sector is characterized by strong competition and is therefore particularly dynamic. With act'o-soft's checkout solution, we are flexible and can react quickly to changes in the market,” continues Pustilnikov.
Parallel to the rollout of the new checkout software in Germany, TEDi is planning to expand its store network in the existing countries.
As one of the leading discounters in the non-food sector, TEDi wants to further expand its own competitive position.
The retail company is also working on forward-looking topics such as the “store of the future”, where act'o-soft's software plays a central role as an innovation platform. TEDi is also pursuing a cloud strategy to simplify and streamline the operation of its software. The international offline-capable Yukon cloud checkout software, which is currently being developed by act'o-soft, represents a pioneering milestone in this respect and supports the retail company's plans.
